Our Approach to Restoring Vintage Furniture

Our philosophy is centered around a few simple ideas. It doesn’t take a lot to create great transformation, so we like to keep it simple, take our time and be deliberate.

CRAFTSMANSHIP

We select quality pieces that have stood the test of time. We choose brands that were the height of quality and craftsmanship during their time, proving their dearth through sheer survival generation after generation.

GOOD DESIGN IS TIMELESS.

The patina of a life well lived may leave a few scars but there’s also a wisdom there we can build upon. So we work hard to not judge a book by its cover. New brass feet, polished hardware, and a shiny new coat are all simple shifts that can transform a beautifully designed piece that might otherwise be headed for the dumpster.

BE BOLD BUT DELIBERATE

Go big or go home is a common theme, while building upon what’s already great. Decisions, decisions, decisions. Color, legs, hardware, lining…how might this piece be used today? How can we ensure a piece be loved for many more generations? We ponder these and many other questions so we can still respect the craftsmanship and design lines that are already there.

We are thankful for the opportunity to bring beautiful furniture into the homes of people that recognize these Rheirloom qualities just like we do.
