One piece with a real story will outlast a wall full of filler. — Casey

This image captures the beginning of a historic yacht race from 1866. The three schooners, Fleetwing, Vesta, and Henrietta departed from Sandy Hook, New Jersey on December 11th, 1866 as participants of the Great Ocean Yacht Race. The Henrietta, owned by 21-year-old newspaper publisher James Gordon Bennett, won the race, arriving in England on Christmas Day. This depiction is from an original lithograph created by Currier and Ives.
