Shifted Perspective Collection
This collection is inspired by Palm Springs Modernism Week. Mid-century architecture, particularly in southern California, changed the game. Almost year-round sunshine triggered architects to consider indoor/outdoor living more extensively; how the volume of space with expansive high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows made it seem like there was no barrier to the outside world. They considered how light played against surfaces highlighting the vibrant sunset skies against the mountains, and how new materials and emerging modern building processes could enhance cooling properties and even affordable construction. Designs by Donald Wexler, William Krisel, John Lautner, Richard Neutra, Albert Frey and many more, are still coveted by many today, myself included.
The color capsules here are aligned to compliment the Beautiful Rebellion collection for continuity so that the designer in me is satisfied. For collectors, this allows you the benefit of having multiple pieces work easily on the same wall, shelf or space.
