I almost walked right past and missed Abigail! I was distracted by Felicity, on the other side of the room. But Abigail was patient and unbothered, like she knew her moment was coming. I am so thrilled I didn't miss her. Once I opened a drawer and felt that solid vintage construction, I knew she needed to be rescued.

Abigail is a 9-drawer lowboy with clean lines, real presence, and that classic, no-nonsense build quality that makes vintage furniture such a joy to bring back. Abigail is finished in our matte lacquer and features new polished brass hardware.

 

Maker / Designer

The history of this piece is cloudy. We imagine this piece was in a bedroom for a very long time through many sleeps, mornings, and wardrobe changes.

Finish

This piece has a buttery matte finish. We use a water-based industrial wood lacquer coating, and every layer of primer, color and top coat is catalyzed. It is a very durable finish and will endure for decades with proper care.

Care

Our lacquer finish is catalyzed (2k) at every coat. It is a very durable finish and will endure for decades with proper care. We recommend dusting often and using coasters and protective felt feet on pointed objects. 
For cleaning greasy finger prints or dirty smudges, this is the product we use for the "final finish". It is waterbased and will not react with our finish. Do not substitute with a solvent-based finishing spray.  We recommend both the Meguiars Final Finish and these microfiber cloths.

Do not use any cleansers with ammonia or other harsh chemicals, it will dull the finish.

Local Delivery within the Portland Metro Area is $200.00. Delivery can usually be arranged within a week.

Nationwide Shipping is provided by a private network of white glove shippers. Lead times range from 1-14 weeks depending upon season and distance. Rates are determined by weight, dimensions, and your location. This piece falls in the MEDIUM shipping profile for your zone. Check out the Furniture FAQs for rates and more information.

Pieces smaller than 30" on all sides can be shipped in a double-walled box via USPS, UPS or FedEx Ground. Arrival is usually within 14-21 days.
