Bannister

PAINTED VINTAGE CONSOLE TABLE

This is a vintage console from an unknown maker. Given the tone and texture in original condition, I think it is Drexel, Stanley, Thomasville or Bassett. Bannister has a new luxurious high glass coat in Picnic on the Beach from Curator. There is a generous shelf to display your goodies, or maybe throw a few baskets down there for gloves, hats and dog leashes! Don't worry that the shelf will bend from the weight. The maker installed a generous 5th leg under the shelf. This piece was built to last. On top is a new piece of tempered glass.

This piece has been previously loved by prior generations so minor imperfections should be expected.

The history of this piece is cloudy. We imagine this piece was in a living room for a very long time through many parties, holidays, and family moments.

Our lacquer finish is catalyzed (2k) at every coat. It is a very durable finish and will endure for decades with proper care. We recommend dusting often and using coasters and protective felt feet on pointed objects. 


For cleaning greasy finger prints or dirty smudges, this is the product we use for the "final finish". It is waterbased and will not react with our finish. Do not substitute with a solvent-based finishing spray.  We recommend both the Meguiars Final Finish and these microfiber cloths.

Do not use any cleansers with ammonia or other harsh chemicals, it will dull the finish.
