Lacquered Sheraton style buffet with faux tambour drawer face. It has 2 generous drawers and two cabinets with plenty of entertaining storage. Your neighbors and family with envy you with this piece!

CONDITION: Very very well built. Inherited through a family from their great grandmother. Solid mahogany buffet, yet surface damage made it undesirable. Drawers are dovetailed and work  perfectly. The cabinet door latches are also solid. The original top drawer dividers were stained so they have been lacquered as well.

FINISH: High gloss waterbased 2k lacquer finish in the color Jet Black (2120-10) from Benjamin Moore. The finish looks just like a piano, buffed to a very high shine. The hardware is original except for the tiny small center knobs. We filled in a few of the reeds to create a larger surface for knobs. Hardware has been polished and protectorate applied to perverse the shine and inhibit tarnish.

Care

Our lacquer finish is catalyzed (2k) at every coat. It is a very durable finish and will ensure for decades with proper care. We recommend dusting often and using coasters and protective felt feet on pointed objects.

For cleaning greasy finger prints or dirty smudges, this is the product we use for the "final finish". It is waterbased and will not react with our finish. Do not substitute with a solvent-based finishing spray.  We recommend both the Meguiars Final Finish and these microfiber cloths.

Do not use any cleansers with ammonia or other harsh chemicals, it will dull the finish.
