Elizabeth

Elizabeth

Out of stock

Elizabeth has always been the quiet type. The kind of piece you’d pass in the hallway and wonder, what’s her story? With graceful proportions and a worldly air, she was built in Asia decades ago and has clearly seen her share of lives — dignified, useful, and maybe a little glamorous.

At first glance, she’s a classic vintage cabinet. But give that top drawer a nudge and voilà: a pull-out desk appears, just waiting for love notes, grocery lists, or your late-night brainstorms. It’s the kind of unexpected transformation that makes you look twice — a little bit of magic, hidden in plain sight.

Elizabeth is currently in production, soon to be reborn in our signature high-gloss lacquer. As for the hardware, we’re leaning toward an upgrade — but if you fall for her current look before she’s finished, we’re all ears.

She’s not flashy. She’s timeless. And she’s ready for her next role — perhaps in your entryway, office, or wherever a little elegance and function are in demand.

The history of this piece is cloudy. We imagine this piece was in a living room for a very long time through many parties, holidays, and family moments.

Finish

We specialize in high gloss lacquer. We use a waterbased industrial wood lacquer coating, and every layer of primer, color and top coat is catalyzed. It is a very durable finish and will endure for decades with proper care.

Care

Our lacquer finish is catalyzed (2k) at every coat. It is a very durable finish and will endure for decades with proper care. We recommend dusting often and using coasters and protective felt feet on pointed objects.

For cleaning greasy finger prints or dirty smudges, this is the product we use for the "final finish". It is waterbased and will not react with our finish. Do not substitute with a solvent-based finishing spray.  We recommend both the Meguiars Final Finish and these microfiber cloths.

Do not use any cleansers with ammonia or other harsh chemicals, it will dull the finish.
