Maker / Designer

The Fancher Furniture Company was established in 1911 in Salamanca, NY.  The company was named after it's first president, A.T. Fancher. It's initial focus was to create jobs for the local community. At their height, the Fancher Furniture Company made a wide array of residential furniture. This included cabinetry for radio and television cabinets, as well as sewing, piano and organ cases. There was even a period of time that custom library furniture was produced and marketed. They designed and manufactured for many of the top furniture sellers, including Pennsylvania House, Temple Stewart, Ethan Allen, Lineage, Drexel Heritage and Kittenger Furniture.

In their later years, they focused on contract furniture for the hotel/hospitality industry. Customers included Marriott Hotels, Windsor Court Hotel, and Four Seasons Hotels. Today the company exists as Fancher Chair.

Care

Our lacquer finish is catalyzed (2k) at every coat. It is a very durable finish and will endure for decades with proper care. We recommend dusting often and using coasters and protective felt feet on pointed objects.

For cleaning greasy finger prints or dirty smudges, this is the product we use for the "final finish". It is waterbased and will not react with our finish. Do not substitute with a solvent-based finishing spray.  We recommend both the Meguiars Final Finish and these microfiber cloths.

Do not use any cleansers with ammonia or other harsh chemicals, it will dull the finish.
