Julianne is sleek, sophisticated and ready! She could live her next life as a buffet or dresser. The drawers are all wide and deep, made out of mahogany. Each has actual dovetailing at both the front AND back panels. We have conditioned the drawers with unscented beeswax to prevent cracking and splintering. The top left drawer has a special sliding caddy for those quick grab items, like keys, rings, etc. Lastly, she has new polished brass greek key knobs.

Ramseur Furniture

It is hard to find much history on Ramseur Furniture Company. However, based on the furniture traditions in the city of Ramseur, North Carolina, dating back to the late 19th century, Ramseur was a capable casegoods maker working in the walnut-and-brass mid-century style. The town of Ramseur has an extensive history in woodworking and milling, which is exactly why beautiful, well-built pieces keep surfacing on 1stDibs and Chairish with almost no paper trail behind them. That scarcity of documentation is honestly part of their charm, and part of why a restored one feels like a rescue.

Care

Our lacquer finish is catalyzed (2k) at every coat. It is a very durable finish and will endure for decades with proper care. We recommend dusting often and using coasters and protective felt feet on pointed objects. 
For cleaning greasy finger prints or dirty smudges, this is the product we use for the "final finish". It is waterbased and will not react with our finish. Do not substitute with a solvent-based finishing spray.  We recommend both the Meguiars Final Finish and these microfiber cloths.

Do not use any cleansers with ammonia or other harsh chemicals, it will dull the finish.
