This image is a drawing titled "A Brig" created by the Dutch marine artist Willem van de Velde the Younger. It is a pen and brown ink drawing with brush and gray wash on paper. The artwork dates from between 1653 and 1707. It is currently part of the collection at the Art Institute of Chicago.
