One piece with a real story will outlast a wall full of filler. — Casey

The illustration was created by artist Walter Hood Fitch for Joseph Dalton Hooker's "Illustrations of Himalayan plants," published in London in 1855. This work is recognized as one of the finest books on flowers ever produced, detailing plants native to the Himalayas. It is labeled as "Plate IV" and depicts the tree that flowers early in the season, from late winter to early spring.

Our collection is sourced from the permanent collections of the world's leading museums and cultural institutions, offered here as archival-quality reproductions.
