We fashioned this in the style of a traditional Hepplewhite buffet. This was a Thomasville bench that we transformed by adding a new top and sexy strong legs. This has a luxurious high gloss lacquer finish in a deep teal color from Curator called Gatekeeper’s Lodge. There are 3 doors that open to one large open cavity. For anyone that entertains a lot, you know the pain of trying to find places to store very large or awkward trays, platters or serving bowls. This piece is the entertainer’s dream storage piece.

Drum roll please….that hardware! Original brass, heavy, strong and so stunning! I wish every piece had hardware so well designed. Age spots, a few nicks and scratches from a life well lived add a bit of character. Each piece has been polished clean and bright and lastly coated with a protectorate to inhibit further tarnish.

This piece has been previously loved by prior generations so minor imperfections should be expected.

Care

Our lacquer finish is catalyzed (2k) at every coat. It is a very durable finish and will ensure for decades with proper care. We recommend dusting often and using coasters and protective felt feet on pointed objects.

For cleaning greasy finger prints or dirty smudges, this is the product we use for the "final finish". It is waterbased and will not react with our finish. Do not substitute with a solvent-based finishing spray.  We recommend both the Meguiars Final Finish and these microfiber cloths.

Do not use any cleansers with ammonia or other harsh chemicals, it will dull the finish.
